Rwanda is a landlocked country situated in central Africa also known as “the land of a thousand hills”. Rwanda has five volcanoes, twenty-three lakes and numerous rivers, some forming the source of the River Nile without forgetting national parks.
Nyungwe National Park
This National Park lies within the Albertine Rift Eco-Region, is acclaimed for its biodiversity, and being one the most endemic species-rich areas in all Africa. It is one of Africa’s most important conservation sites. It protects one of the region’s largest and oldest remaining patches of montane rainforest and is home to almost 300 species of birds, and other 13 Primates species, like chimpanzees, Angola Colobus, owl-faced monkeys, and so many more. In this Park, you can find some other activities like, waterfall trail, which routes through the tea plantations into the forest and eventually to a small but pretty waterfall with good views of the forest canopy. The forest canopy leads to a 200m trail suspended between giant trees, offering a magnificent view of the upper canopy and is also a very good bird-watching area.
Gisenyi/ Lake Kivu/Beaches
Gisenyi is the capital of the Rubavu district. It’s the fifth largest town in Rwanda, is located in theWest Province of the Country and borders the north shore of Lake Kivu at the foot of the Virunga mountains. It offers visitors attractive mountain scenery and an enjoyable year-round moderate climate.Sometimes referred to as “St Tropez of Africa”, this tropical locus complete with palm trees boasts several hotels such as Kivu Serena hotel, and so many more, community campsites and beaches, where you can be able to swim, boat riding and sunbathing.
Volcanoes National Park
The magnificent Virunga Mountains are situated in the Northern Province of Rwanda, on the border of Rwanda and DRC and Uganda. These mountains consist of six volcanoes, and are home to the famous gorilla families, trekking the gorilla, is a lifetime experience. Ther are also other primates to see, trekking the golden monkey through a bamboo forest they live in, is another unique experience.
The City of Kigali is the capital of Rwanda and it is located at Rwanda’s geographical heart.The City of Kigali has rapidly grown in a modern city in the last decade and it has not only become Rwanda’s most important business centre but also the main port of entry.The City of Kigali is made up of three districts namely Gasabo, Kicukiro and Nyarugenge. It is presently inhabited by approximately 1.2 million inhabitants. Kigali is 70% rural with a population which is relatively young- the youth make up about 60% and women make slightly more the 50%.
Itinerary (subject to change)
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport, meet and greet and airport transfer.
Overnight: Hotel Des Mille Collines
Day 2: After Breakfast, drive to the Nyungwe Forest national park, stopping over in Nyanza to visit the ancient Rwandan Kings royal palaces, and the Butare National Museum, respectively. Proceed on to Nyungwe Forest National Park,
Overnight: Emeraude Kivu Resort
Day 3: Morning: trekking for Chimpanzees in the Nyungwe Forest National Park. Afternoon: Canopy Walkway, in the Forest.
Overnight: Emeraude Kivu Resort
Day 4: After an early breakfast drive alongside Lake Kivu to the resort town of Rubavu via Karongi, the road itself offer a panoramic view of the lake and surrounding environs, stops en-route to photograph scenic areas. Overnight: Kivu Serena Hotel
Day 5: After an early breakfast, a city tour of Gisenyi, including 2 Congo borders and a local market, thereafter drive back to the hotel, lunch then drive to Musanze, the home of mountain Gorillas, check in at the lodge.
Overnight: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge
Day 6: After breakfast report to RDB office to undergo formalities of trekking to meet the gorillas, you will be given a group to visit, after trekking have lunch at the lodge, visit the compelling twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo

Day 7: After breakfast report to RDB office to undergo formalities of trekking the rare golden monkey, an endemic species of the blue monkey only found on the eastern rift. After trekking drive back to the lodge, freshen up have lunch thereafter drive back to Kigali on arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Overnight: Hotel Des Mille Collines.
Day 8: After breakfast, short city tour of Kigali, including Kigali Genocide memorial, souvenirs shopping, have lunch in one of the local restaurants, thereafter transfer to the airport to catch up your flight. Only breakfast included

The idea is that you can pay an initial deposit for your chosen event or trip, in order to reserve your spot, but you are still left with the remainder of the payment.
Once the deposit of £150 + PayPal fees have been paid, and you are ready to pay the remainder of your payment please do it via bank transfer. We will send you the details on request.

You are welcome to book different flights, however, in this case, separate airport transfer will need to be arranged (which may cost an extra fee). Direct flights are available both ways but they are twice as expensive.
