WELCOME TO A WORLD OF SENSE!
Dinner in total darkness, guided and served by blind people, is a unique experience that changes our perception of the world by reversing our point of view and allows us to completely re-evaluate our perception of taste and smell. It is also a social experience where darkness takes away all preconceptions and protect us from shyness. Finally, it is a richly human experience when the blind become your eyes, opening your mind to an intriguing new world of mystery and sensation. Dive into your imagination and rediscover your senses. This place is totally devoid of vanity, and everyone must go! You will be welcomed into a bar and lounge area with a warm atmosphere. Our welcome staff will explain you the concept and take your orders.
After your order is completed, you will have to wait a few moments before your guide comes out of the dark room to take care of your group and bring you to your table in the dark room. During this time you will be asked to put all your bags and coats (prohibited in the dining room) and objects making light (as a mobile phone, lighters, etc …) in a locker in the basement. Watches must be kept deep in your own pocket. If you have anything of a value over £300 please contact our staff who will keep it safe or keep it with you but please make sure it doesn’t make light.
You can order additional drinks (not included in the price) in the Dining Room. You can ask anything to your guide/waiter and can call them at any time by their first name. He/She will come to you as soon as possible. At the end of the dinner, you’ll be taken out by your guide. We ask you to watch the ground when you go out and to re-open your eyes carefully because light can be painful after an hour and a half or more in the dark.
DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK!
Guests can choose only among a limited choice of surprise Menus. The idea is that each guest should not know exactly what he or she will be eating… just the general category. It’s all about the flavors, the textures, and the seasonings. It is an old principle often used in the industry, called “blind tasting”.
Products: line-caught fish, free-range and grass-fed meats, seasonal and organic vegetables. We also try to propose fair trade products.
